Deadly Assets by Wendy Tyson

An eccentric Italian heiress from the Finger Lakes. An eighteen-year-old pop star from Scranton, Pennsylvania. Allison Campbell’s latest clients seem worlds apart in every respect, except one: Both women disappear on the same day. And Allison’s colleague Vaughn is the last to have seen each.
Allison’s search for a connection uncovers an intricate web of family secrets, corporate transgressions and an age-old rivalry that crosses continents. The closer Allison gets to the truth, the deadlier her quest becomes. All paths lead back to a sinister Finger Lakes estate and the suicide of a woman thirty years earlier. Allison soon realizes the lives of her clients and the safety of those closest to her aren’t the only things at stake.

  7. How great that your first Allison Campbell mystery was recommended as a book club read. Is Allison based at all on you? Your background sounds so interesting.

    1. Hi Catherine! Thank you--I was absolutely thrilled that KILLER IMAGE was chosen as a 2014 best mystery for book clubs. I've participated in a few book club discussions and have had a blast every time. I share a trait or two with each of my characters, but none of them is based on me or my life. Like Allison, I did work with troubled teens, though--and the juxtaposition of two careers (counselor and lawyer) definitely influenced the "image" theme in the books. I saw first hand in both careers that what's on the surface doesn't always reflect what's underneath. Thanks for stopping by--best of luck in the giveaway!
